3 Myths About Building Websites

3 myths about building websites demystified:
1: ‎The process is too techy and requires coding.
*You don’t need to know how to code to build a website and the process is actually not too techy, all you need is the right guidance and you will be good to go.

2: It takes too much time.
*You just need to be intentional and set aside some time to learn the process. Remember when something is important to you, you would create time for it.

3: It is very costly.
*A website advertises your business on a global level 24/7/365. How much would it cost you to pay for an advert to run all year long? Compare that cost with the amount you need to build a website and you would find it’s negligible.

How to Fix the 404 Not Found Error

Don’t lose your website visitors, redirect them to a custom page when they type a wrong link.

When people search for broken links or pages that do not exist on your website, they would be sent to a page that shows a “page not found” error message. This is also referred to as a “404 error”.

404 errors are not good for your site’s SEO and user experience.

A quick tip to retain your website visitors is to redirect them to a custom page using a 404 redirect plugin. For instance, we redirected all broken links to our home page. If someone searches for www.lvdtech.com/reg (which does not exist on our website), they would be redirected to our home page.

If you need help with how to do this and also set up your website the right way, click the button below to enrol for the website creation course.

A Website Saves You Time

Yes! A Website saves you time⏰!

As an entrepreneur, you can’t afford to waste time. Wasting time is equivalent to losing money💸!

Here are three ways (out of many) a website can save you time:
i) You can display all your products and services with their respective prices and cut out the back and forth communication time involved in clients sending messages to make pricing inquiries.

ii) You can integrate payment systems on your website and this would enable clients make payment directly from your website instead of you having to send your bank account details to every single client that wants to make a payment.

iii) You can create an FAQ page or section on your website and answer all frequently asked questions about your products/services. You don’t have to keep repeating the same information to different clients.

How to Configure WhatsApp Click to Chat

WhatsApp Click to Chat feature enables people to chat with you without them having to first save your phone number on their phone.

As a business owner, this could be very helpful for inquiries and in turn yield a higher conversion rate as most clients prefer to be able to quickly and easily make inquiries.

When this link is properly set up, once it is clicked, a client would be able to chat with you instantly.

HOW TO CONFIGURE:
First of all, make sure the phone number you want to use has an active account on WhatsApp.

Use: https://api.whatsapp.com/send?phone= followed by your phone number in international format, without any zeros, brackets or dashes.

Correct Format: https://api.whatsapp.com/send?phone=2348001234567

Wrong Format: https://api.whatsapp.com/send?phone=+234-800(1234567)

Extra Tip: You can go further to use a URL shortener such as Bit.do, Goo.gl, or Bit.ly to make your WhatsApp Click to Chat link look shorter and more attractive before sharing it on your bio, linktree, website, etc.
